1Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Mado ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2Description of Service

Mado is a screen time management application that helps you build mindful habits by adding intentional pauses before you access selected apps. The App uses Apple's Screen Time API to provide this functionality.

Key features include:

  • Mindful intervention shields before distracting apps
  • Three focus modes (Shizuku, Nagare, Izumi)
  • 15-minute focused sessions
  • Progress tracking and achievements

3Subscription Terms

Pricing

  • Monthly: $9.99/month
  • Yearly: $79.99/year (best value)

Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid charges.

Billing

Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Upon cancellation, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple according to their App Store policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

4User Responsibilities

By using Mado, you agree to:

  • Grant the necessary Screen Time permissions for the App to function
  • Keep your iOS version updated for optimal performance
  • Use the App only for its intended purpose
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer or modify the App
  • Not use the App for any unlawful purpose

5Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Mado, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, are the exclusive property of Mado and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our prior written consent.

6Disclaimers

Mado is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The App will meet your specific requirements
  • The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • You will achieve specific results from using the App
  • The App will be compatible with all devices or iOS versions

The App is designed to help you build better habits, but results depend on your own commitment and usage. We make no claims about specific outcomes.

7Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mado and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses
  • Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App
  • Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your data
  • Any other matter relating to the App

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

8Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, if:

  • You breach these Terms of Service
  • We are required to do so by law
  • We discontinue the App

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms that should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

9Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes through the App or via app updates. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Poland.
